Keep Altadena Home

The Altadena Earthseed Community Land Trust was founded in the midst of the smoke clearing from the Eaton Fire in 2025 as a community-led and community-based vehicle to address the inequities facing Altadenans in the rebuild by building models of housing and community spaces that value neighbors and neighborhoods.

Our mission is to bring and keep Altadena home. We seek to preserve the racial and socioeconomic diversity of Altadena, with attention to legacy Black and Brown working class communities who are particularly susceptible to displacement.

We are fire survivors, community members, and allies building pathways to community ownership in Altadena. Rooted by our shared love of Altadena’s vibrant communities and the desire to preserve all that makes our home special, we seek to make housing truly affordable for future generations to come.
